Monday Mayhem – I’m baaaaack!

I’m back! Were you good to Voirey and Sandi while I was gone? I hope so. I love introducing friends to friends.

Sooo…Did you miss me?

I missed you too. It’s been a while since we caught up, so I thought I’d give you a few bullet points.

You ready? Let’s do it!

  1. Just got back from back to back training weeks for the day job. Each day was jammed packed with information, but the training was very informative. I’ll be helping to train my fellow employees in Texas over the next few months. If they’re all as great at the group of trainers I’ve worked with these last few weeks, it’ll be great!
  2. I’m doing NaNoWriMo again this year. That means I am coming home and cranking out the words each night this month. I love NaNo. I love the challenge. I love being able to draw a deep breath in December and say, “Look. I did that.” But I’m not there yet! Everything is on track. I’m over the 30k mark so far and plan to go at it hard over the holiday weekend.
  3. The Diamond State Romance Authors hosted a public seminar on self-publishing this past Saturday. Tanya Smith from the Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge came to speak to the group about the great work they’re doing in big cat rescue. After the seminars, we adjourned to Oceans at Arthur’s for a multi-author book signing. All proceeds from the sales of these collections go directly to TCWR. My story, Teens Gone Wild, is in Volume II– the Young Adult collection. Here are a few pics:
Megan Mitcham, Lori Freeland, Brinda Berry and me!
Lynda Frazier, Cynthia d’Alba and Elle James
Wild At Heart Volumes I & II available in ebook and print at Amazon

    4. I got to meet one of my readers! Meet Joanna – she’s reading Spring Chickens. I’m the one grinning like a loon and trying not to tackle hug the poor woman.

    Joanna

    5. Tim bunny missed me. So did the man. Scored a free double Steakburger on my birthday. Got a stack of Amazon gift cards, so the Kindle is locked and loaded. Life is good.

How have you been? What have you been up to lately? Tell me every little thing in a comment below and I’ll give you a prize… How about your choice of either a digital copy of anything on my backlist or an advanced read copy of Maggie Wells’ smoking hot January release – Jumping Mr. January?

I’ll draw one winner on Sunday, November 25th.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends!

  1. You’re back! You’re back! *tackle hugs* I missed you!! I’m always so impressed with your dedication and discipline when it comes to NaNo. I know you’ll hit 50k!

So cool re. the signing and getting to meet another fan. Soon you’ll have so many of them you’ll have to hide away in your home and wear sunglasses all the time. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m fantastic! Just completed my first teaching block and I spent this weekend recovering and catching up on sleep. I’m back at university until Christmas and I have some assignments and exams to keep me busy, not to mention this little story I’ve been working on for a really, really long time. It’s gonna be my first novel, and I just set a goal of having it complete by my birthday next year. I dream big. ๐Ÿ˜€

Hope you have a wonderful day, Margaret! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. The haps? Well, lets see. What is the haps? ๐Ÿ˜‰ Thanksgiving will be spent with my fam at my brother and Sister in law’s house. That’s always nice.
My grandson won his football game and is heading to Florida, which you know. But, Grampa and I volunteered to keep the baby with us while her parents go with, that part you didn’t know. They aren’t quite sure if they want to leave her. So stay tuned.
I’ll start decorating for the holidays soon. Probably a modified version. But, still done up in proper lulu fashion.
This time of year is pretty for the leaves if you don’t have to mow and rake them, so not looking forward to that.
    Basically, same ole, same ole.
Great job on the writing. That is quite impressive even with the travel.
    Now slow down. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  3. Great write up recap. How cool you had a fan bring in Spring Chickens. (Love that book!)
Football is done ๐Ÿ™ Basketball is starting up this week.

Haven’t been online much and I miss my friends. Hubby doing ok. Almost done Christmas shopping so I can avoid the craziness of December. As much as I love to shop, not in December.

  4. Julie – I’m so excited about how well everything is going for you!

Laurie – Don’t think I do see through this whole ‘volunteering to keep the baby’ ploy. I’ll slow down eventually. Maybe.

Michelle – We miss you too, but we’re always there with you. Hang in there, baby!

  5. Hi!

I definitely missed you. So glad we got to catch up yesterday.

Not much going on here. Got a new supervisor last week (the person filled the position I had applied for a few months ago). So far so good.

Work has been off and on busy, but so far not too crazy *cross fingers*. Holidays always bring out the busy though.

Going to my cousins house for Turkey Day. I’m brining Pumpkin Pie.

Then I get ready for cookie making. Yum!

Congrats on your writing progress. You are so impressive! And I can’t wait to read St. Blaise. ๐Ÿ™‚
