Weekend Writing Warrior – 4/26/15

Here are eight more from  my work in progress, Play Dates. It’s a contemporary romance about a woman whose little niece helps her snag the man of her dreams. More sisterly love….

“God, you’re a horrible tramp.” With the speed and agility Monica always forgot Mellow Mel possessed, her sister launched herself from the chair and landed on the couch beside her, bouncing them both. “Call him now, I want to hear what he sounds like.”
Monica rolled her eyes, but a flush of pleasure warmed her cheeks as the backlit screen sprung to life. “Okay, but you have to swear you won’t say anything. Just let me have my way with him this once, and I promise I will never let your daughter pimp me out again.”

“Hush. Don’t say such things about my baby.”

That’s all I have for now. Be sure to check out all of the Weekend Writing Warrior posts here.

Happy Sunday!

Hee! I love you for getting ‘tramp’ and ‘pimp’ in the same excerpt. Awesome job, you little slut! 😀

Monica sounds like an awesome heroine. her attitude is perfect for this and I still thinking using her niece without a care is freaking funny

That last line on the second paragraph made me laugh. Kids can be quite the matchmakers!

You’re always so good with the nicknames! “Mellow Mel!” This whole idea is adorable. Looking forward to reading the whole thing!
