Love Without Limits
I’ve been reading AND writing, Maggie! It’s been such a productive week, and I hope to keep that going for the rest of this month and, hell, all summer long! 🙂
I think I’ve missed quite a few Wednesdays here because of – you know – life. So let me catch you up. I read two novels meant for young adults, but since they were written by some of my favorite authors, I read them anyway. Dave Barry wrote “The Worst Class Trip Ever” and Spencer Quinn did “Woof.” Both were funny, charming, and great light summer reads. Next I read Lisa Lutz’s “How to Start a Fire.” God, I love her. This book was twisty and confusing and funny and smart and terrific. This week I started reading “Uprooted” by Naomi Novik, and I’m beginning to feel the way I did with the first Harry Potter or the first time through Tolkien. She’s weaving enchantments and drawing me into this strange world. I’m hooked!
